AVIT and the future    2003-06-26 13:29:19
AVIT was a great success. Everyone had a very good time. All that came out had an inspirational and educational experience. We are thankful to all of you that supported our community and helped to make this happen. It was something very new to Chicago what we did this past weekend, and through all the odds, we made it happen... Of course we are already thinking about next year's AVIT North America and if anyone would like to be involved with the planning please do let us know.

AVIT UK will be held in Brighton on October 23-26, 2003. Of course everybody should try to make it and support our AVIT family... and quite the family it has grown to be indeed.

For more info about AVIT visit our sites - www.avit.us , www.avit.org.uk and www.avit.info

Bishop and I will be heading over the the UK on an extended avit vacation. We are organising a tour while we are there as well. If anyone can help us out with gigs... please do :)

Bishop aka Bassheadde Releases Debut Album!    2003-02-14 13:46:33
Taken, Bishop's debut album was released on New Years. Performing as Bassheadde (his live pa personality). All tracks on the album were written and produced by C W Bishop. It has a strong dub/reggae infuence along with breakbeat, trip hop and d n b stylez. Truly a one-of-a-kind type of sound.
For more information on obtaining a copy of your very own... contact Bishop @ simplistiks@hotmail.com or watch www.simplistiks.net for updates.

This is a Simplistiks Visuals Event... hosting some of the world's best.

12/02/02

Well... The Winter Video Ball was a success to all those involved in a personal sense. Everyone that did come out had a great time and so did the performers. We could have had a better turnout... and all the folks that didn't come out should know that they missed quite an experience. The venue responded very well and perhaps we have really started something.

My reflection on the whole situation is that everything, in one way or another happens for a reason... perhaps that reason comes upon us unnoticed or maybe it makes us work really hard before it rears its head. Eventually, though, that reason for everything will shine through in the end.

I would like to extend thanks to all my Simplistiks crew for helping so graciously in setup for the event... Taylor, Adam, P-ta, Joel, Karen Bishop, Bob Schultz, Bill Schmidt, Mark, Chris, Hiram, Jeremy Techtmann
and to all my VJ's who so graciously supported my cause and lent their wonderful visuals for the evening... Visualaudio (Matt & Kurt), Doug (Oakspyrit), Jym (Pixylight), People's Republic of Delicious Food & Danno (LEVLHED)
And to the others that made the event possible... Allyson Bahr, Issa & Jillian with Turner Hall, all the visual artists who brought their work in at the last minute... and I hope I didn't forget anyone... but you know who you are if I did. Thanks!

Seattle- Seacompression Party - November 2002
Marco was kind enough to let me bring some footage to his show at the SeaCompression party... there are some pics posted in the gallery of us getting down. The party was great! I loved all the burning-man followers... these peeps really know how to party!

 NYC Casualty    2002-07-22 21:37:17
New York City... this summer I've taken myself from the vast emptiness of the San Luis Valley to the mega metropolis we all know and love called NYC. A city for anyone who wants anything... I find myself but a number in populated streets. It's an interesting and empowering feeling to know your purpose.
One thing left unanswered by this beautiful city... where are all the VJ's? Perhaps this is the one thing left out...
