AVit and more..    2003-04-24 18:51:01
Well, with so much happening lately with my Vjing world, I havn't had much time to do updates to this page..
So, where do I start?

After the winter music festival dates and 'Plush' gig, oakie and I returned back to colorado to do a couple of local denver gigs for the Plur cru, of which I have
video clips for your enjoyment...check:

In March, I was fortunate enuf to be able to bring out Dave from the 'Inside Us All' out of London UK, to do a psy-trance show in Denver at 'Rock Island'.

after that show Dave ventured into Space Dub studio's and what became of this was the very first Space Bunker Session.
This Live VJ mix was a head to head mix between dave and myself, which was mixed then mixed down by oakSpyrit... We were so excited with the mix, that there are now plans to release a DVD of that session...

Now I am preparing for the DEMF in May, and of course the years biggest VJ event in May..AVit North America..
this will bring together many VJ's from all over the americas and the UK with even some far away VJ's
coming in from Austrailia!!! This should be an awesome event, and am looking forward to playing a Live A/V set there with fellow dubber's Merkaballah...

Well all for now, but check back soon for some of the upcoming gig highlites..

Stardate: 12-3-02
Just back from The Winter Video Ball, hosted by VJ NixMix and Bishop of Simplistic, and 'Plush', a niteclub event in Minneapolis..

Pixy and VJ oakSpyrit had an amazing time on a mini tour of the midwest, playing Milwaukee for the "Winter Video Ball", a massive 6 screen event in the historic Turner Hall, and playing the famous 'Plush' niteclub event hosted by Matt Murphy in Minneapolis, Minnesota...

Up next, will be 'Resolutions' a party sponsered by the Plur kids, taking place in Ft Collins, Colorado, December 28th....

Back after the long run    2002-10-25 12:02:28
Greetings once again!
Well, I have finally made it back to the mountains of Colorado, and have put this last entry off far too long...So I will update you all on the last couple of week of the tour...
First, the last week...I did 2 shows at 'Liquid Sky Cologne' and was invited to do
their 'Electro Bunker' event if I am around next year. The club was at a new location
from where I gigged at last year, and was set up completely different. LS had a video
system comprising of 10 big televisions hooked together with a matrix system. (check
the pics)
The next weekend (and last weekend in europe), proved to be one of non stop parties!!
First was 'Green Beatz', a hip-hop, D&B, and reggae party, sponsered by Germany's 'Green Party', that I was invited to VJ at, in the last minute. I was VJing with my friend, and renowned VJ from Cologne, VJ Sehermoegen, and got a chance to VJ with his 'Fairlight CV', which is quite a machine...
After parting all nite (VIP Passes are great), I caught the bus back to Amsterdam, where I went to another Psy-Trance party in Amsterdam North. After dancing most of the nite, I made it back to the little grass park at Rembrante's plaza, where I caught a couple hours of sleep. Later after that I, quite by accident, hooked up some LSD, and found a free open air show going on at Liedesplien square, where again, I danced my ass off in the pouring rain, until I had to go get my gear from the hemp hotel, and head for the airport, and home..
At this point, I have had only a few hours sleep in the last 72 hours, and am weary, but happy to of had such a kick ass send off from these last 9 and 1/2 weeks in Europe.
I would also like to thank all the many people that helped me so much through out this long strange trip...
First off, I would like to thank very much Kathy @ the Hemp Hotel, who went out of her way to
make my difficult situation much more bareable. Thanks Kathy for the showers and great vegitarian cooking, and of course, sharing herself and her hash with me!! I would also like to thank Lolly, Chris, and Nash from the HH for their love and support, along with all their countless patron's...I stay sooooo high..much thanks
Also, I would like to thank Rui and Marcia, from the "9 lives of Hofman" squat, and I am planning on moving there, (by next summer hopefully) and for hooking me up with the place and all that they did for me.
Also, I would like to espescially like to give shouts to Marcel (VJ Sehvermoegen) for giving me his flat and the paid slots at the Liquid Sky...Dude your the best!!
I could go on and on, thanking many who helped me along the way, but you know who you are.
It sure has been swell, and now I know who my friends really are. Oh, one more person I need to especially thank is AudioVisualizer Dave, for arranging the 'Pixylight Relief Fund', and raising some much needed cash for me while over here in Europe.
Well this will be all for now concerning this tour, but look for pics and movies showing some of my adventures right here on this site...coming soon...

 LandJuweel 2002    2002-08-26 17:54:16
Just back from a long weekend at 'Ruigoord', http://www.ruigoord.nl one of the last large land area squats left in the Amsterdam outer city, where I took part in the 10th annual 'LandJuweel festival'...
It was quite different from the goa-trance fests that I have been to thus far...
If you could mix Burning Man with a rainbow gathering, add the freeness of Amsterdam, and give it a Native American theme, you could then call it LandJuweel. This squat, is a bit liken Holland it's self, in that it is a planned harbor that hasn't yet been made...
The highlites from a video perspective, was that of the 'Groovy Movie', http://www.groovymovie.org the world's first solar powered movie. I had ran into the Groovy Movie tour in Barcelona at VideA 2001, but didn't get a chance to see it. That was until LandJuweel, and I must say, hats off to the couple who started the whole solar powered, multimedia projection's idea..
Well, now I am off to Cologne to actually do a couple of paid gigs...go figure the pay comes at the end of the tour.
Oh well, I will now have some money for presents...

Until the next event, this is your wandering roving reporter and part time VJ,
Pixy

 From Dance-a-Delic with love...    2002-08-19 03:31:35
Hello again to all of you!!!
I have just had one of the best weeks of this whole saga this last week at Dance-a-delic!!!
I have to hand it to Hugo and Daudi, for throwing a very professionally psy-trance event.
I was able to do some kick-ass mixing, on a giant screen that I even didn't have to put up fore a change.
Dance- a- delic was very deco-ed out with a great main stage area, and a couple of altenative sound systems located elsewhere around the natural grassed, open air venue..(I will have some QT movies available on this site soon!!!)
After the weekend of festivities, I ended up staying at the site, and camping in this wonderful nature setting for the entire next week..I was able to really, then, connect with this Flemish family, and indeed become part of the collective...(They really want me back next summer!!)
Finally after a week of easy breakdown, and a little bit of work, I headed back to Amsterdamage to house sit a place with a very lovely girl named Kathy...(who, has treated me so nice and been so helpful,I might end up wanting to stay here with her.)
Unfortunately, the house sitting part fell threw, so now I am going to be staying at an Amsterdam squat with some chaps I met at the SensiBlender gig..

Well, I now wait to see if I go to Cologne, end of the month, or just stay here in A-dam with the lovely miss Chatherine Mary???

more on this, I promise>..
